DIY invitiations or professional a hard choice but has the economy made this choice for us

We all dream of the perfect wedding with no expense spared with the designer dress, the perfect venue and a wedding planner to turn our vision into reality, but the economy has made us all think again about spending a small fortune on one day. With the power of the internet and hobby and craft shops we can have the dream wedding on the grooms ideal budget. When i got married 3 years ago i became possessed by the wedding monster i had to look at anything that related to wedding and automatically had to have it otherwise my wedding would not be the best day of my life. Luckily i had my fabulous family and friends who showed me by utilising there talents my wedding could be wonderful on a budget. My sister who is extremely arty made my wedding invitations using my engagement photo and her computer these cost me 25% of the professional invites i had fell in love with in the printers where everything was glossy, expensive and a must have if my wedding was to be anticipated as the event of the year!!!!! When we gave our invites out to family and friends the response was mind blowing they loved the personal touch and created a buzz of excitement for the forthcoming wedding and what surprises it held. From the success of the homemade invitations i then began thinking of what other talents i could exploit from my family and friends to help me save money on other elements of the wedding to make it unique, personal and cheap.
